The Parish Council has appointed Mrs Sue Bloom, a resident of the parish for the past 20 years, as Councillor to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Nick Hague.
Sue had over 40 years experience with the NHS, filling senior management roles. She currently sits on the Professional Advisory Panel at NHS England and is President of St John Ambulance for the Crawley Area and Chair of trustees for Crawley Community Action.
Her late husband Howard was a GP from 1981, working in the Crawley area. He became Mayor in 2008 and Leader of Crawley Borough Council in 2013.
Parish Council chairperson Penny Shoubridge welcomed Sue to the authority at the April meeting and said she was sure she would prove to be a great asset.
