The Parish Council has entered Charlwood and Hookwood into the Parishes In Bloom competition again this year. Residents are encouraged to demonstrate that their gardens are well cared for to enhance the appearance of the Parish and to help go one better than last year when the community was awarded a Silver Gilt medal.

However the competition is not solely based on gardens and will be judged and assessed according to three main criteria: Environmental Responsibility; Community Involvement; Gardening and Conservation Achievement.

For the full criteria as spelled out by the organisers, South & South-East In Bloom, click here.
